Synopsis: Take your students on a virtual trip exploring the civil rights movement in Missouri since the Missouri Compromise. Students will examine several Supreme Court decisions like Dred Scott v. Sandford (1857), Shelley v. Kraemer (1948), and a federal court case Davis v. St. Louis Housing Authority (1952). This research plan will highlight two African-American pioneers in the Missouri civil rights movement, Frankie Muse-Freeman and Percy Green.
